What can I expect from the application process?

The application process will be detailed on each job description page, but generally includes a chat with a recruiter followed by two or three interviews. For some roles you'll also be asked to prepare a presentation in advance of one of these interviews. See our latest jobs and apply.

Where can I get support with my application and interview?

For a perm or contract role, you can talk to your recruiter. Or, if you're a contractor applying through a third party, speak to your agency or umbrella company. Some roles require a short presentation during interview stage, but you'll always be notified in advance so you have time to prepare.

How soon after interview will I know if I’ve been successful?

The hiring manager will aim to give you feedback within a few days of any interview stage.

Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes, we're happy to accept applications from the same candidate for more than one role.

What is the on-boarding/induction process after I join?

Once you accept an offer, a contract will be issued to you to sign and return. You'll then receive a portal link with log-in details so you can upload documents such as your ID, employment references, and proof of right to work and home address. Once vetting is complete (which can take up to five weeks) your start date will be confirmed, taking your notice period and availability into account.

When you start with us, your hiring manager and the people team will schedule your initial induction to ensure you get off to a great start.

What do you offer in terms of adjustments and support for people with disabilities?

Please share any disability details at pre-screening stage (before you submit your application) so we know what arrangements we need to make – for example, if you're attending an interview. The entrances of our three locations are equipped with ramps and lifts, while our meeting rooms also accommodate wheelchairs.

What kind of diversity and inclusion programmes do you offer?

DCC has a commitment to building an inclusive workplace welcoming people of all backgrounds. Not just because it’s the right thing to do. It also makes the company stronger. We draw on differences in who we are and what we we’ve experienced. Among other things, we:

  • Offer flexible working arrangements
  • Adhere to equitable and transparent recruitment, training and promotion practices
  • Acknowledge and honour numerous religious and cultural practices
  • Support colleagues as they deepen their awareness of diversity, equality and inclusion issues
  • Resource and support diversity and inclusion forums
  • Offer a range of employee wellbeing programmes and support
  • Regularly seek feedback from our people on a wide range of issues

Can I apply if I don't have the right to work in the UK?
